As Muslims, we are encouraged to give our time to Allah, and in return, Allah promises to multiply the rewards. It is narrated that when we give 10 minutes of our time to Allah, He will give us 100 minutes in return. This is a divine promise that highlights the value and significance of dedicating our time to our Creator.
By prioritizing acts of worship such as prayer, recitation of the Quran, and supplication, we can tap into the Baraka of our time and experience a deep sense of connection with Allah.
Avoiding Haram Activities
Another important aspect of maximizing the Baraka of our time is to stay away from Haram activities. Haram refers to any action or behaviour that is prohibited in Islam. By avoiding Haram activities, we create space in our lives for goodness and righteousness.
For instance, refraining from engaging in Haram games, consuming Haram content, or participating in any Haram activities allows us to redirect our time towards more beneficial pursuits. Instead of wasting our time on things that do not bring us closer to Allah, we can use that time to engage in acts of worship or engage in activities that benefit ourselves and others.
By consciously choosing to avoid Haram, we transform our time into a means of accumulating Good Deeds. This, in turn, brings us closer to Allah and allows us to experience the Baraka that comes with leading a righteous life.
Priority and Regularity
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala instructs us to prioritize our tasks in life. By organizing our time and giving precedence to important matters, we can make the most of our time and achieve a sense of balance and fulfilment.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam serves as an exemplary role model in this regard. Despite being the busiest person in the world, he managed his time effectively and completed tasks on a priority basis.
By following the example of our Prophet, we can learn the importance of regularity and prioritization. By setting goals, creating schedules, and ensuring that important tasks are given their due attention, we can make our time more productive and meaningful.
When we approach our tasks with discipline and regularity, we can maintain a sense of balance in our lives. This balance allows us to fulfil our responsibilities while also finding time for self-care, worship, and personal growth.
